    This is tough to watch

The scenes when Betis qualifies for next year’s Champions League and wins the Conference League. The Antony Effect.

  • CRZLobo👤312 hours ago

    Absurd goal

  • joakinzz99413 hours ago

GOLAZO!! Betis.. What a beautiful play..

  • Bowmanstan313 hours ago

Well I guess that makes up for trying to walk it in (my stream is massively delayed)

  • roguedevil🇨🇴413 hours ago

That’s actually a superb header by Cucho.

  • lonelynightm👤413 hours ago

    Damn what a brilliant header.

  • Bowmanstan113 hours ago

Did they revoke a yellow there? Or just decide not to red, even after called by VAR?

    • The_BoBoZander🇺🇸213 hours ago

I think they called the ref over to review for a red (since that’s the only thing he can review for in that situation) and I guess he deemed slapping a man in the face not violent conduct somehow? And then called a handball against the guy who got slapped in the face? It’s La Liga so who the hell knows what the refs are thinking because 99% of the time they don’t

Edit: unless they were checking for DOGSO but deemed the handball first. That’s the only thing I can think of that happened. Still doesn’t explain letting him get slapped in the face for free but again…La Liga

      • roguedevil🇨🇴313 hours ago

It’s not VC, they were reviewing it as a regular foul which would be DOGSO. However, the handball occurs just a fraction of a second prior to Nathan (accidentally) slapping him in the face.

I actually think it’s the correct decision.

        • The_BoBoZander🇺🇸113 hours ago

If they deem it accidental then yea I can see it being correct. However there’s no need to have your arms flailing around at face level, so in my mind there’s no real way that could be accidental

          • roguedevil🇨🇴113 hours ago

If you see it full speed, it’s clearly accidental. He had his arm out for balance and it’s the attacker running through that causes his body to rotate.

    • roguedevil🇨🇴313 hours ago

It was a handball prior to contact with the face. So they restarted with a FK from that spot.

  • roguedevil🇨🇴213 hours ago

If they are considering this as a foul, then they have to determine that it was a handball just before contact with the face.

EDIT: Ha! I can’t believe that happened. I bet the ref called the handball so they wouldn’t have to send a defender off for that weird passage without making his VAR team look dumb.

    the hell is going on

  • Bowmanstan-213 hours ago

I want to make a comment but it violates my personal don’t mention Antony in betis threads rule.

  • roguedevil🇨🇴313 hours ago

Adrian just froze at the edge of the box instead of committing. If you’re not going to attack the ball, don’t come out at all.

    • iriririr93939393👤113 hours ago

Theres a simple reason for that: he’s the worst starting keeper in the country

  • SalmorejoFresquito👤314 hours ago

Johnny Cardoso is (And I’m being serious) one of the best defensive midfielder I’ve seen in recent years. USMNT haven’t realized yet what a player they have because they keep playing WESTON MCKENNIE AND TYLER ADAMS!

    • iriririr93939393👤214 hours ago

I swear he just let a man go by him so he could cleanly make a more difficult tackle!

I watched and laughed “JOHNNY!!!” to myself

  • morbidwhaler🇮🇸114 hours ago

This ref is consistent in not allowing weak fouls to be meaningful, for better or for worse

  • big_mustache_dad114 hours ago

This ref does not have a whistle or something? He’s let like 15 fouls go haha

    • morbidwhaler🇮🇸114 hours ago

He will singlehandedly bring the game back to the 90’s standards!

  • big_mustache_dad214 hours ago

Feel like there were multiple yellow cards that guys escaped because the ball was in play for so long during that passage of play

  • WalnutWabbit👤114 hours ago

    Betis cooking

  • morbidwhaler🇮🇸514 hours ago

This Betis team is so special with their unselfishness, all have bought in to the system and do not hesitate to trust each other to handle the press and move quickly after the pass.

  • morbidwhaler🇮🇸314 hours ago

Amazing vision from Antony there, he can seemingly do no wrong now. Really hope he can stay with Betis and that they get CL for next season.

  • SalmorejoFresquito👤714 hours ago

Please, Villarreal lost, we need to win, it is actually possible to qualify for CL

  • madueitor0514 hours ago

Hopeful that Betis get a good result and we can see Marcos Fernández debut
